A. Projects Operational :

1. SWAVLAMBAN - A vocational training center for Mentally Challenged, above 14 years of age.
2. DISHA – A special education classes for special children of age 5-14 years.
3. A well equipped physiotherapy & occupational therapy center for training and development of Motor skills.

B. Other Activities :

1. Seminar - National level and local level seminars are conducted by ISMR.
2. Workshops & training programmes –Conducted regularly for parents on various topics by calling experts of different field.
3. Daily living activities and personal care training
4. Behavioral modification training for social development.
5. Social and cultural activities.

"Swavlamban" a vocational training center for Mentally Challenged persons with and aim to make them self-reliant, Which was very much needed to support MR children crossing age of 14 years which could not continue in special school and need vocational training institute, which caters for the needs of adults, till made self-reliant.

SWAVLAMBAN started functioning wef. 2 October 2001.

• Present activities includes making of doormats, envelops, rakhi, training of cooking, personal hygiene and sanitation, screen printing, embroidery work, ironing of clothes, stitching.
• Strength of trainees to be increased from 35 to 50 by end of 2007 and to create necessary infrastructure required.
• To explore possibilities to work on Society base rehabilitation programs. Shelter workshop facilities to be created for trainees who are unable to meet requirements of Society based rehabilitation, to provide continuous support to them.

Swavlamban is getting regular guidance for its functioning from "Kushabhau Thakre composite Regional Center" Bhopal, functioning under Ministry of Social justice & Empowerment, Government of India.

Disha - Special Education Centre , special education classes for children age 5-14 years, it started functioning from the year 2005, at Disha we target to impart quality education based on guidelines of National Institute of Mentally Challenged, initially to 25 children. Present strength is of 6 special children.
