Man has set his foot on the moon, still he is striving hard to set his foot on the mars, thus the progress is continuing, even then he needs a friend, a well-wisher and a helping hand around him.

We are approaching you with this view in hand.

India is progressing. You and we are also a part and partial in this progress, directly or indirectly these are a good number of persons who are unable to keep pace with us, with the progress there are also many among us, who extent there helping hand to these unlucky follows. Who are they? They are our own people but they are unable to do so because from the birth they are abnormal, handicapped and thus, unable to do or think normally as we do.

Of course with your and with the help of many kind and considerate people, like you this pious work of giving them a helping hand, is being done by many people and organizations.

Let me introduce ‘SWAVLAMBAN’ that has come into existence since 2001. It is a Unit having its roots connected with ISMR, which was established in the year 1995. This is the first unit in the M.P. which came in to existence with the whole hearted work of the parents, who thought it is necessary for the society and for the well-being and progress of Mentally Challenged children. SWAVLAMBAN, as it’s vary name suggests, helps Mentally Challenged children to stand on their feet, earn while they learn, and become an able citizen.

Presently there are more than 35 such boys and girls specially teenagers and adults in this unit.

They are provided practical training (Vocational Training) through specially trained staff. These mentally challenged students learn many things, so they go hand in hand with the other normally grown up boys and girls in the society. Though, it is insufficient to throw light on all the activities in writing and hence we extend an open invitation to you and request you to call us, of course with pre-intimation, see progress of this school.

Kindly bear in mind that we and you, both have to work together in the rehabilitation of these mentally challenged human beings who are an integral part of our Society.

Both of us, we and of course you, can do much more in this direction, which is a need of the hour.
